About workshop:

Assisting robotics enable patients to perform repeated movements, which can stimulate the brain to regain control of upper and lower limbs through a process known as neuroplasticity. Recent research highlights that combining electromechanical-assisted gait training with Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) yields greater benefits than robotic treatment alone. Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) represent a promising new technology for restoring, substituting, or enhancing lost motor functions in patients with neurological injuries. This workshop focuses on hybrid systems that integrate BCIs (e.g. demos with RecoveriX system), FES, and exoskeletons to promote motor recovery in individuals with central nervous system lesions.
Co-Organizer: Energy Conversion and Motion Control Systems Research Centre (SCECM – https://eertis.eu/errf-2300-000h-2207  ) Research Centre, Iasi, Romania.
